When I saw this and heard their music, I was brought back to the times when my father would pick up his guitar and start playing songs from his younger days. I remember those moments when he, my mother, brother and I, even our dogs, would sing out in the terrace while the sun gave a golden glow upon our cheeks. Music’s purpose is to bring people together. That’s what I remembered. And I felt my body just swing to the beat, never stopping and for the first time in a few months, I was actually so ecstatic that I wanted the whole world to hear music. And to hear this from the band that I’ve adored and looked up to for all these years just made it even more special. Music is a gift that bonds people near and far.
